"So your spleen is enlarged."
I sat up on the examination table. "So how long will this last? Can I go back to work?"
The doctor pushed his glasses up. "I'd say for about two weeks you should avoid heavy lifting and contact sports."
"Sounds good." I was satisfied with that.
"Oh and you can't ride a bike either. If you fall you could rupture your spleen." He gathered his papers and left the room.
I sat there broken hearted. No bike riding for two weeks? How will I ever survive?

I'm back to eating solid foods and should be back on my feet at the end of this week, but I have to take it slow apparently.
