So what's new?
I got some jeans. I haven't worn real jeans in ages.
Yesteday I started to love the people of this city. I mean you always hear about how unfriendly people in Toronto are, but this is total and utter bull hooey.
At work we were throwing out some cabinets and I asked the boss if I could take one home, and she said yes. The cabinet is pretty big and my only mode of transportation is the subway. So it came with me on the subway.
It was obvious that I was struggling to carry this thing and person after person would stop and ask me if I needed a hand. I would politely decline since I figured that this was my burden and should not be farmed out to anyone else. That was the case until one man insisted on helping me and "...would not take no for an answer...".
He said this as he picked up one end of the cabinet and helped my down the stairs of the Bloor and Yonge subway station. This would not be the last I would see of a good sumaritan.
Upon reaching Lansdowne station I dragged the cabinet out of the subway and onto the platform. Another man insisted on helping me and up the stairs we went, he even offered to help me home with it, but since I was in opposite direction I insisted on him letting me take it myself.
I ended up dragging it up the few stairs infront of my place and right into the living room.
I'm back in Ottawa for Halloween, more specifically Halloween Hardcore. I wonder if it will be as weird as last time.
I want to make a great schlocky flick like this someday
