Round trip to New Orleans was much too fast. Should have spent a few more days there, but it was too hot and humid. Had some pre-oil soft shell crab at Vera's in Slidell, the best in the World by far. Nieces wedding was at Houma Plantation House in Gonzales, LA, the restoration was true to period, but I'm sure glad they were able to hide...

First run in the rain this year, feels good not to burn up, but i think I like the sweat better, cleans everything out.

Planted the rest of the garden today, 4 rows of okra. Madam is Acadien and loves the stuff, I have no opinion one way or another being a rehabilitated Yankee. Hope to remain organic this year, but the bugs will dictate...

I felt like I had to vote today in the local primary, but what a bunch of nothing for choices. Should I vote for the snake or the demon?

I think nobody wants to get blamed for this dead economy, so the only ones running are the chronically clueless. Village idiots, here's your chance at the spotlight. Didn't we just send one back to Texas?...

Everything is getting green again, tough Winter here, but I didn't lose any French grapevines this time. May get a little Chardanay this year, I think the vines are a bit young yet tho.

Back to the daily running schedule again, hard to believe how much I lost in just a couple months of laziness. The new 400M track is great with it rubber surface....

Today is a great day, they reopened my local 400 metre track. Repaved and rubberized, kindly to knees now, tho it never did any damage when it was asphalt. Now I can get back on my daily 10K routine without getting run over, roads just aren't safe since the advent of cell phones. I'm as guilty as the rest, tho I have a personal rule...

Grass is growing too fast, mowing every 4 days is too much effort.

Herb garden is progressing, got the rosemary for the middle.

Sweet Basil is next. I shall become the pesto baron of the Smokies! Berkshire- Hathaway wants in! I saw Warren Buffet sneakin' around my barn in the rain today.whatever

Actually looking forward to mowing the lawn, a sure sign of Summer. Got some of the herb garden planted, should be a full French/Italian country diversity when I get done. Im planting it in a big 25 foot circle with alternating spokes, with a big Rosemary forrest in the middle.

Hoping for a big grape crop this year[cats helping me type right now] I need...

I mowed my lawn the other day, and I actually had a good time doing it. I think it is the spring bug that found my smile while I mowed, so I know what you mean.

Later when it's hot and horrible; I'll hate it smile

Luck to your grapes this year, my friend.

Felt great to get out in the warm sun and run a few miles. Even the cats found a warm spot in the driveway to exploit for a nap. Cats drive me crazy, they only eat and sleep, but they're solid muscle, complete athletes without effort. The black Burmese matriarch felt a need to eat wild meat, so she casually wanders to the back yard...

yes I see cats just as I do humans. We all have our problems. I wish you lived closer, these little guys need a good home.
