The vineyard is all tucked in for the Winter, more trellis' to build and repair later, lots of fruit tree pruning too. The gardens are all gone and the last of the tomatoes and peppers have turned into sauce. The squirrels ate all of my pecans this year and the black walnuts took the year off. I'm trying to get the cats to eat more squirrel, but they're too pampered to do that. Next Spring I will start a proper herb garden, mostly French/Mediterranean, I moved the Rosemary indoors just in case. Sprouted some ginger root late in the summer, it's slow so I moved it in too, under a grow light to let it get a head start on next year. I'm hoping to start some grapes to make some Rubino Marsala wine for cooking, the process is very complex, but while the vines mature in 5 to 7 years I hope to learn. Good Marsala wine has almost disappeared, it was made in Western Sicily, but the art is nearly lost because it involves allot of knowledgeable blending of aged and new wines. The newer generations of Germans in Sicily are not interested.

Trying to piece together another ancient Vespa scooter, this one a '66, the older ones just have so much more character. Most were red, but I have 2 other red ones, so this one will be royal blue. They're great to run around town on, 150 mpg and 40 is fast enough.

Back in the stock market again Ford for now, GM later when the frenzy settles down with the price. Most people don't seem to realize that the World economy runs on cars, not houses like the media tries to push. When people buys cars the World is happy, and they're finally starting to get greener. We just need to figure out how to get along without oil, gonna be a hard task tho, the money is still thick there.

Rain, Sun Rain, Sun all day today. Back outside between the clouds, life is good.
