Felt great to get back out and run a few miles again, been way too long[ I hate ice in my mustache]. My son and I broke in a new course today. Before we ran a 400 meter oval for 25 laps, very boring stuff. The new path is rolling hills and winds thru the woods and past the local Astros[farm league] ballpark, much more scenic, altho we haven't found any cuties to chase yet. That always makes the scenery soooo much better[my 15YO has just discovered girls]. Like I said, its been a while so we cut it off at 4 miles round trip for now. Probably will push it back out to 10 K after about a week of the new hills. I was surprised I was able to keep up with the 15 YO, maybe he was just being kind to the old man. I was able to pass him a few times last year at about 1K, but he always made me pay for it farther down the road. The new course is 7 miles one way to the end. Runs out past the local mental hospital, they build them to keep the crazy people out you know. Maybe we'll be able to do the whole 14 round trip by this summer. I think the days of 75 miles per week are over, but, you never know what a little training will do. Feets[probably feats] don't fail me now.
Life goes on and I'm still happy: " I used to be disgusted, now I try to be amused. Since their wings have gotten busted, don't you know the angels wanna wear my red shoes" .

As for the old one, he's on his last legs, so to speak. I just spent $300 at the vet to get a blood test; turns out he has some sort of infection and he'll have to swallow meds every day. He's not going to like that either.
The other members of my menagerie are doing fine, though, thank you for asking!
You are a better man than I. I loathe running. I can dance for hours, but I can barely get down the block without getting winded, my throat hurting, and my back feeling crunched.
