The vineyard is all tucked in for the Winter, more trellis' to build and repair later, lots of fruit tree pruning too. The gardens are all gone and the last of the tomatoes and peppers have turned into sauce. The squirrels ate all of my pecans this year and the black walnuts took the year off. I'm trying to get the cats to eat more...

That's ok and thanx for the birthday wishes.
madscience:
You know, I did the absentee voting by mail for the first time, and it really wasn't the same as going out and voting. I don't know if I'm going to do it again. More convenient, yes. But . . . something was missing . . .

Supposed to rain for 4 days, have to work indoors. I have a dying music harddrive, maybe I can transfer it before it locks up altogether. I had a really good network mini server, but Windows updates made it incompatible, so it is no more.whatever

The vineyard is pretty much asleep now as are most of the fruit and nut tress. The squirrels ate all,...

Time to turn the gardens over to crimson clover and capture some nitrogen. Fall monsoons soon.

TN is gettin' to be the high desert of the east, still hot and dry. Running before light and after dark is the only way to survive. Think we'll start calling Douglas Lake Havasu East.

Started the twice a day running, once at first light and again after dark, we'll see how long that lasts. The gym workout seems to work good at 5:00 PM. I'll either be in great shape or AFUBR. Live fast, die young, and leave a good lookin' corpse, think I waited too long to die young tho.

In the end everything will be all right,...

48 hour flu bug is about over I hope, still a little snotty tho. Hoping I can get out and run tonight, a good sweat is better than anything to burn out a cold. Been lazy lately, need to get back to running at least once a day. I keep thinkin' about running in the morning and in the evening too, but the motivation hasn't...

I can always count on you for sweet words, thank you kiss
dezzie:
I totally know what you mean, my motivation to train comes in waves. For weeks I'll stick with it and run every day, then a couple of days I'll slack, and my motivation goes MIA.
By the way, thanks for your love on my new set it makes my day to hear sweet words like that.
And as for voting I'm gonna rent a 10 passenger van and kidnap people to get them to the polls if I have to.

Too hot to run, but I do it anyway. The sweat burns my eyes, but I think it cleans out everything so well. Besides eating whole foods, it's probably the best thing you can do to live better and longer.

Hope this Winter is not the other extreme, I love the heat but hate the cold. I grew up in the snow belt and don't...

That's really bad! I've not heard of that here but I can't say it doesn't happen, I wouldn't be suprised.

Ugh, I've resorted to . . . running on the treadmill. But I'm following an "increase your speed" program, and that adds some interest/motivation to it all. It's actually pretty rewarding to check off each square as I accomplish it. And it's not a particularly difficult program. I'd never done one before, but I have to say I like it.
