Runnin' in the rain the last few weeks, still sweat but it doesn't show. The farm is flourishing this year daily rain and hot sun, lotsa apples, pears, cherries peaches, and plums. Frog strangler rain and then instant sunshine, Florida in the Smokies.

My son has converted me friom the 400 meter circle track to a footpath at the local college. It's 14 miles round trip so it's perfect for Marathon training. It has markers every 1/4 mile so it's easy to control distance, lots of short rolling hills for reality. Working toward the '12 Marine Corp Marathon. Probably will train at 10K[6-1/4 miles] for a few months...

Mid 90s all week, glad I run at night. My son runs at 7:00 am and has to cut his runs short due to swaet burned eyes. After sunset I usually can still get my 5 miles done without permanent damage. Veggies and French grapes are really takin' off now, and so are the weeds. Gotta get to work as soon as the rain stops. Got lots of cherries and apples too, this may be a good year for Chardanay.

Cool evenings are great for running now, 5 miles tonight, I'm a late night runner, never get out before 9:00 sometimes after midnight.
