Had the most AWESOME adventure today; the day I finally did my first open water dives in the ocean!
Woke up real early (4:30am), but we needed to be at Whytecliff Park by 7am (there was a bike race going on nearby that meant we needed to be there before any traffic problems blocked off the way. Kitted up and headed out into the ocean @ 9am. At first I had a little difficulty trying to sink (this while wearing over 40 pounds of weights, not to mention the other gear), but I was able to get down and do my lessons and swim around. Saw some shells, fishes and even saw a starfish.
Unfortunately, coming up midway through dive two, it was discovered that blood was coming out my mouth and nose. Apparently I may have ruptured my sinuses (having some difficulty clearing my ears, perhaps), meaning that Im not well enough to continue diving that day or to do the remaining dives tomorrow. Ill be heading to the doctors on Monday to find out how bad things are and how long itll be before I can get back in the water.
For now, there was the excitement of this day. And pics. (Which I can't apparently load onto SG; check 'em out here.)
