Astoundingly cold in NYC! Went to Kim's Video and bought DVDs: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas and The Killers (both Criterion releases) and Election (comedy by Alexander Payne, now acclaimed for "About Schmidt.") Picked up special issue of Comics Journal 2003 at St. Mark's Comics. Remaindered edition of short stories of Melville at St. Mark's bookstore. Groceries and beer and everything else I need to hole up for a couple of days (tomorrow is a holiday and I'm taking Tuesday off). Hope to finally finish new issue of my zine, watch/read some of this stuff I keep collecting.
(I'll finish my profile here, too, add a more recent photo--this one is from a few years back. I can't even remember why I'm holding up that miniature totem pole!)

PG is working out great for us, we're really enjoying ourselves. I'm sure glad I don't have to deal with snow anymore. I used to live in DC and Baltimore. The worst storm I was in was around '90 or '91 when the East coast froze over and literally ice was everywhere, they shut down DC for 3 days. Crazy.
oh yeah and i know what you mean when you say that snow sort of makes NY look cleaner but THIS MUCH SNOW? come on! damn the trains weren't even working today. this is just lame now.
