I sent out the evite for my 10th wedding anniversary party the other day. It's a party for our Seattle Family, those people we've come to love and depend on here, in place of our geographically-challenged biological family.
One of the first people I hung out with here, one of the first I considered a part of my west coast family, won't come. He won't...

So I leave for Cleveland tonight. It's not going to be the usual show off the kids to the grandparents trip, this time. First off, it's just me, and the cast of characters I'm planning on spending my time with is very unusual, like my old best friend whom I haven't seen in like 5 years and haven't really hung out with in 12 or...

bankky:
I certainly hope so.

I had 2 different people ask me yesterday if I would paint portraits for them. One can pay me, and the other is trading for babysitting. And this store-owner/designer chick needs somebody to draw things for her. Could it be that I could actually make money doing art?

I think I've got me a show!
I'm going to do a collaboration with a photographer aquaintance, and show Jan-March of next year. Plenty o time to plot some cool theme and work on it. Jennifer, the salon/spa/boutique owner who'll be showing us, will print out postcards and throw us a reception.
I'm legitimate! Woo hoo!

I'm showing my paintings this afternoon to a boutique owner. There's a possible show in it for me. It'll be my first non-artwalk show. Good location, too: apparently people actually BUY things there sometimes.

awsome./ good luck!!

I bought my second lottery ticket ever yesterday. It's for $100 million
-- how can I not chance a dollar on that? Seeing as I don't have a job right now (and really don't actually want one), winning a huge pot of dough would really come in handy.

and yeah, lurker profiles suck.
