Death....
My uncle died this morning. He had been big into drugs for a long time and they took their toll. Just last week or so he had been taken to a rehabilitation center for his alcohol addiction, it is possible he was on other things too. No one goes deep into detail with those kind of subjects, you know. He lives far away from me, and though I didnt know him well, I will still miss him when we visit Colorado again. Idy is taking it okay. I hope my Dad. It was his Big brother. I wish I could give my daddy a big hug right now.
"Whatever became of the moment when one first knew about death? THere must have been one, a moment, in childhood when it first occured to you that you don't go on forever. It must have been shattering--stamped into one's memory. And yet I can't remember it. It never occured to me at all. What does one make of that? We must be born with an intuition of mortality, Before we know the words for it, before we know that there are words, out we came, bloodied and squalling with the knowledge that for all the compasses in the world there is only one direction, and time is its only measure." ~Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead
