I'm so glad I've got this week out of the way. Work's been a real pain. Gotten a little tired with being unacknowledged and unappreciated. I know that I need to do something about it but it's easy to get stuck in a rut isn't it?
Anyways, On a happier note. I've now got 4 days off work. I've just finished packing for a trip to London to see the NFL at Wembley Stadium. American Football is a pretty niche sport here in the UK but you'd be surprised how many people turn out for the games. This is the 2nd of 3 games they're holding over here this year and each one will be almost sold out. My brother and I have been going for the last couple of years and the atmosphere is always really great. Having a non-mainstream interest can feel a little isolating sometimes so it's nice to have thousands of people with a common interest all in the same place.
I don't spend much time away from home(I get homesick if I'm away for more than a couple of days. Pathetic I know.lol) so I'm looking forward to the trip but apprehensive about the journey(if that makes sense) I'm glad to go but I'll be even happier to come home. Even so, I think it's nice to have little events and such planned throughout the year, if only to break yourself out of your routine.
A weekend spent with my Bro in a different place, watching football, a little sightseeing and a lot of Comic shopping adds up to a pretty decent weekend in my book.
I hope everyone else has a great weekend.
David
