Labor Day weekend in S.F. was so much fun! Aislinn had a little get together Thursday night so I just crashed out there that night so we could get going right away Friday. Of course we both slept in a bit. haha Gotta love the after effects of vodka!
So once we were able to get our asses up, we went to grab something to eat, got my car a quick oil change and we were on our way. We hit a little traffic heading up the grape vine but the 5 turned into a parking lot around the Bakersfield area. First time I've ever gotten out of my car and walked around in the middle of the freeway! haha So 71/2 hours lifter we left, we got to Aislinn's sister's house. They had already eaten bust saved us some amazing garlic steak, pasta salad and corn on the cob. mmmmmm
Lance arrived shortly later to pick us up and take us downtown. I forget the name of the club, but we had gone there the last time I was up too. Had some Oles, listened to a decent band that no one was really in the mood to see, didn't really dance but we did punch the piano keys a bit. Literally. haha Got drunk and came back to Aislinn's sister's house.
Saturday we woke up, Ace's parents were up there too and her dad made us some great blueberry pancakes. Lance picked us up and we had a couple hours to kill before we checked into our hotel, so we went to check out some shops on Haight and then headed over to Golden Gate Park to hunt for some buffalo. Aislinn had mentioned it the night before, but we just thought she was drunk. Sure enough we found them and of course hilarious pictures ensued. (I'll post them once I get them.)
The rest of the crew was driving up Saturday, but they got stuck in even worse traffic than we did. So after checking out a few more sites, we headed on over to the hotel to check in. To my surprise they had a happy hour where all guest drink for free from 5:30-7:30. Oh hell yeah. Needless to say, 2 hours later, we're all drunk. We go back to the room to wait for the others where we ended up falling asleep because they didn't get there till around 11:00. Poor girls. That was a 10 hour drive! But we had them covered. We had bought them some alcohol and had drinks waiting for them as soon as they walked in the door.
So we all head off to a club where lance's friend was DJing. Turned out it was gay night so Lance felt weird all night. haha We all just got drunk and danced for the hour and a half we were there. Lance's friend even went topless for a good chink of the night. Brave girl! haha
Sunday we woke up, got our free breakfast down stairs and headed out for more shopping. Went back to Haight where Joanne got to shop to her heart's content. Damn there are so many amazing shops there. It blows away LA. I wish I made more money. I could have easily bought an entire wardrobe that day. haha On the way back to the car we saw some guy who's head was gushing blood all over the side walk. It was freaky. No idea what happened to him. He was just standing there, leaning up against a mail box, hair drenched in blood. Someone called an ambulance and we decided to take off. We went on to Union Square, then to Fisherman's Warf where some asshole started shit over a parking spot. Whatever, the dumbass had a nice present waiting on his hood and windshield when he got back. haha Then we headed down Lombard Street, the worlds crookedest street! haha That was fun.
Got back to the hotel in time for more free happy hour drinks! Then got ready and went to the Cat Club. Interesting night. Not quite what I was expecting and it took me a while to get in the mood, but Finally I came around. Highlights were the silly picture taking, playing with the beach balls that were hanging from the ceiling, then having them come down and tossing them all over the club as if we were at a baseball game, pissing off some lesbian couple with our childish play and the weird as drag queen wearing a dress that looked like it was made form a slip n slide! haha
I was the first one up on Monday and the only one who went down to get the free breakfast. I tried to bring enough back for everyone, but I could only fit so much on the tray. haha We said goodbye to Becky, Joanne and Allegra and Lance drove us back to Ace's sister's house to get my car. The drive home was much faster. Only about 6 hours, which surprised me being the last day of a holiday weekend.
It was 8:00 by the time I got home and passed out pretty early. I was exhausted. By far my most fun trip ever to San Francisco. Can't wait to go again.
But I must start saving my money for my trip to London next Spring! :-)
