I had to jump on this recent @bloghomework from @missy , @lyxzen, and @rambo because I have been thinking about that question specifically myself lately...
If you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?
The one thing I now constantly regret is not getting into art school sooner. I've always loved doing art, and since I was 12 I knew I wanted to go to CCAD (Columbus College of Art and Design) to study and professionalize my skills. I let my fears of not having the money, not being good enough, and not thinking I was ready get in the way.....but it's never too late right?
I've been working on completing my application, so yesterday I decided to go take a tour of the college. While there, we came to a big room that had giant steps leading to a set of windows overlooking the campus. At the end of this room was a large chalkboard propped up on two chairs with a quote:
"If we wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting for the rest of our lives."
- Lemony Snicket
Just like a slap in the face! But in a good way. What I should have known all along, made into art, placed there as if it was meant just for me to see. And I learned this chalkboard in that room is part of an anonymous art project at the school called "danger dust". It's pretty rad so you should check it out. Hope you enjoyed my blog!!! (And that it wasn't too long)
