Right now, moments of terrifying boredom.

In a couple of days, it's back into the world of the weird, as another convention comes around.

I need to take more pics, don't I...

I have discovered Slough Feg. Specifically, the Traveller album.

Anyone else have pointers to their catalog that I might like based on that?

So...

What groups do I belong in that I'm not already?

So I spent this past weekend at a science-fiction convention. Well, sort of; it's a "relaxacon," no real programming, just socializing with my fellow weird people.

I got to see a security guard felled by underestimation of one of the room parties' concoctions. He was last spotted being dragged off to one of the con staff's rooms to sleep it off. I was amused.

I've been looking into picking up an ebook reader with some of my tax refund. I'm currently torn between the Kindle and the Nook (with the removable battery of the Nook just equaling the sort-of web access of the Kindle as being otherwise useful goes).

I plan, at least in part, to look at RPG PDFs with them, and I know neither one will work...

Wow, I let a lot of time pass...

So... the iPad. Tempting thing, especially as we get close to where I'll be working on tax returns and maybe getting enough back to buy one.

Happy New Year people!

2009 started out bad, got worse, then turned a little awesome as we got to the summer and beyond. It still beat the crap out of 2008 and took its lunch money, though.

So familiar... and yet not...

When I watched this as a kid, it was called Battle of the Planets, and was severely cut for violence and such, with an R2-D2-like robot (7-Zark-7) added in to bridge the cuts. Someone posted the entire original series (Science Ninja Team Gatchaman) on YouTube, for which I bless them very much.

Family demanded a lot of my time over...

Did a little Christmas shopping yesterday, and found something for myself.

A copy of Callahan's Lady, one of the handful of Callahan's Crosstime Saloon books I'm still missing (the others being Callahan's Legacy (I think) and Time Travelers Strictly Cash).

Callahan's Place is one of those fictional bars that really ought to exist, and I really like this one thought that came out...

In a couple of days, I'm technically on vacation.

I suspect I have other projects going that will turn it into work, but there you go.

And I'll try to get a BCB set out of it, somehow.

So how's everyone else out there?

Thanks hun! And yay for new sets!
