Still working on the paying writing thing (sort of) but also managed to do a prelude to the novels I've been going on about. The novels are, well, think Dresden Files meets Heroes and you get the gist of it. A year or so before the novels will start, magic came back into the world after being sealed away centuries before to stop a great evil. The short story is about the sealing away. I recorded it as a segment for a friend's podcast, but it ended up being too long (about 17 minutes).
If anyone would like to read it/listen to it, let me know and we'll work out a way to hook you up. I'd love some additional feedback, especially on the reading, since I plan to podcast the novels (or at least novel) when I write it.
