So far, my NaNo effort is about a day behind, and I imagine the sort-of-not-exactly ex's visit next weekend isn't going to help my total much either. Neither is editing half a podcast on Tuesday or running the game on Thursday. I'm far ahead of last year's effort, though.
My first year of NaNo, I finished, although the result wasn't even something I could whip into useful shape -- a mystery the soluition to which was obvious in the first ten thousand pages. Last year, it was the Ghostly wish fulfillment thing (thought not in quite the same form as I presented this year) and I got maybe a thousand words in before trashing it.
I'm just over 5200 words at this point. I've got a beginning, and I have something of an ending, but I need a middle. I also don't know how funny it actually is. I don't really much trust my sense of humor, actually.
So, that's where I am on that.
