Alrighty then...here are some photos of the pieces that managed to keep me awake for the last week:
First is a play on a Dali painting ("Mae West's Face which may be used as a Surrealist Apartment") but it is supposed to represent my "superego". I haven't finished it yet, but I had to put it onto the backburner to get the others started so I would have something to turn in.
I've given it the name "the child of dali's bodom", mainly because I was in a warped state as the result of watching a Children of Bodom dvd on surround sound while drawing this.
This is the 3 picture series that shows my inhaler warping into a pipe.
Next is my take on the word bio-mechanical because that is all the professor gave us to go off of. I haven't finished it yet but I'll work on it during spring break and update the picture.
Finally this is all I have done so far with that painting I mentioned yesterday. This is with the first 2 layers, but its oils so I will add at least 3 more before it is done. The project is to modernize and abstract a classic piece, but I'm still not sure what I want to do with the person in the background. I'm thinking about painting some SG girls into the picture frames on the wall in the background . I'm also trying to make the two ladies a little less pissy looking.
totally unfinished (noticing a pattern?) but I like the direction its going and I always enjoy wasting paint.
Anyways...all is well and hopefully I will continue to have this urge to paint/draw and get these finished by next week. I always seem to stop right before a piece is done and not work for a month so I'm trying to keep working all night when I'm up for it. In other news looky what my boyfriend is up to...
Yippy! I've never done mushrooms before and these are hydroponics so I'm excited!
Well time to go to work...there are lazy people everywhere in need of pizza and I can't let them down...even if they don't tip.
