1. Sorry I haven't updated y'all on Sunday at Drive Invasion. I've been really friggin' busy at work this week (no, really). And the evenings I've been spending chatting online with Dawn. She's rocked my world, and I haven't even met her yet.
2. Tomorrow at this time I should be gettin' pretty close to Raleigh if not already there. I'm excited. D'oh! Her husband was supposed to take the kids for the weekend, but defaulted! Looks like I'm gonna be meeting them much sooner than expected. Oh, the pressure.
Other than Friday night and Saturday morning, she has them covered.
3. Met Libertylux, Twigtech, and Stuzzy for lunch today. Had shrimp and 4 cheese pizza. It was yummy.
4. Oh, yeah. I'm taking the bike to Raleigh. It's a 400 mile trip one way, the longest I've made BY FAR. But the car gets 22 mpg on Primo, and the bike gets about 42 on reg'lar; practially a no-brainer. Now I have to figure out how to keep my bag on the bike.
5. We're gonna be learning to kayak. The Raleigh Parks and Recreation dept. has a VERY LARGE NUMBER of classes and other activities. They're available to non-residents at a slightly higher fee. The kayaking is $157 per person. That covers 7-9 Friday night and 9-5 Saturday and Sunday.
6. I was working on something else, and when I came back to the browser window, I hit a link. Good thing I got to the ESC key, or I'd be back to #1.
7. This QA guy at work is nice and all, and he's mostly competent. However, I frequently have to resolve setup issues that he reports as bugs. I'm currently working on one. It can get a bit frustrating.
