Now, welfare "reform" is one thing (I may not necessarily agree with that, either), but with food stamps and the school lunch program, we're not even discussing the mythical "welfare mother". We're talking about an essential element of the budgets of thousands of working poor families. This is often the difference between eating and not for these families.
