The Lowdown:

Since coming home on May 15th, there's been a variety of factors preventing me from accessing this site on a regular basis, the least of which has been time: as family activity increased in my absence, this is now a precious commodity. However, I haven't been online at all due to a single factor of my own cause: respect. I could surf around porn sites all day, blissfully ignoring everyone else in the living room as they awkwardly try to ignore me, but I don't believe it's fair to expose my family to images they may be uncomfortable with, however much I might wish to, and whatever my age. I consider my online world a fairly private place to begin with, and that sense of privacy is quite naturally heightened when I visit sites containing "sensetive subject material". I'd really like to have my web access to myself when coming here, and that hasn't been very available so far. Besides all that, how comfortable would you be with your parents obliviously surfing porn in your presence? The ick factor probably runs both ways.

Fortunately, we should be getting a new computer within the next few weeks, then I'll have access -- and privacy -- in my room again. Until then, my sincere thanks to all the happy birthday wishers of a month ago, and a hearty hello to anyone reading. Hope to see you all soon!
