An observation, if you cannot eat hot and spicy food, you cannot live in Korea. Why? KIMCHI! The traditional Korean fermented chili dish of vegetables. Its the staple rather than rice in my opinion. Its served with breakfast, lunch dinner. Lucky for me I actually like Kimchi and enjoy it. But after a week of it for every meal, even I baulk at having more.
Here are some pictures. The first is the outside of a traditional Korean home, followed by pots they put kimchi in winter. Although fermented, the koreans put the Kimchi in pots and bury them in the snow in Winter. The next is my wife and daughter mixing Kimchi and the Korean Kimchi making school
