Birds sing over a hole in the ground,
A single Raindrop falls on my cheek,
The world mourns for a man who has found,
His first and final resting place.
The hours lose all meaning,
Days drift into one,
The pain she must now be feeling,
To have just lost her oldest son.
It can be a crazy world sometimes,
He was its darling child
Faced with causing pain,
He refused to play that game,
He paid the High price,
Of his mind, His life and his wife
Who will never forget him,
Never recover,
but never be alone,
As she sits sits in the dark,
Candle shadows dancing across her face,
His image in her eyes.
