Hello lovelies!
I was ready to get an early night tonight when I came across @missy s post regarding the #SpiritofSG and SO many wonderful, creative people popped into my mind.
Although I could literally sit here for hours on end and write about all the talented people on here that have touched my heart in the most beautiful way, someone in particular really comes to mind, and that is @coolicio !
I think a big thank you letter to this lady is long overdue, because I don't know if she realizes what a change she has made in my life, for the better! 2 years ago I applied for Suicidegirls, after speaking to my now bestfriend, @mila (who will also get a super long sappy thank you post in the future ;P)
I was so nervous when I first applied, and saw there was an upcoming shootfest, to which @mila recommended I worked with @coolicio for my first set. I cannot express how thankful I am for those words of advice, because I wouldn't have come this far without her!
As soon as I first met @coolicio, she instantly hugged me and welcomed me into the shoot house and made me feel so comfortable. I was almost shaking as I'd never been in front of a camera before, and wasn't all that body confident. @coolicio never once made me question myself, she never once made me feel awkward or unwelcome, and her sense of humor completely lifted my mood. Straight away, I fell in love with the vibe she gives out, and ended up shooting my first 4 sets with her (one being my multi with @mila)
I was unaware of the confidence that I withheld until she brought it out of me. Her passion for making people feel good about themselves is incredible. She puts her absolute heart and soul into every shoot and is constantly surpassing every goal she sets. Watching this lovely lady do what she loves and make such a difference in the lives of others is an amazing thing to experience. I can only hope that one day I have as much passion as she does.
When I first met @coolicio I was only 19, and I honestly felt like I crossed paths with her for a reason. There were certain things I needed to learn at that age, and from the moment I met her, I knew that this was a community I wanted to be a part of. I felt like I was missing a second family. I've been lucky enough to see her enjoy motherhood, and seeing the positivity radiating out of her into the world, even when balancing a tiny baby at shoots is unbelievable.
You have such a powerful nature and you have changed so many peoples lives for the better.
As I go through the different phases of my life I will always remember how you have helped contribute to who I am today as well as where I am today.
Eternally grateful,
Akiramai
