Sylvanian Famlies
These little furry bastards were my pride and joy back in the day. You could collect families of different animals and I had a big house to put them in, cars and a school. My older brother used to pretend to put the babies into the car and drive it off the roof of the dolls house and I used to get really upset!
I saw that @ivylina also posted this particular one but… TAMAGOTCHI’s! I had completely forgotten that they even existed until I was doing some research on Tokyo before my trip and someone recommended to visit the tamagotchi store! Unfortunately it had closed down, but we found a toy store and @mila and I both bought first gen tamagotchis! It was our challenge to see who could keep theirs alive for the longest, and I’m actually super surprised that I won!
I used to be SO obsessed with my tamagotchi in primary school, and my mum actually kept a detention notice that I received for playing with my tamagotchi in class too many times!
Polly Pocket
Now that I’m looking back on it, I don’t understand what was so exciting about owning a tiny doll and dressing her in different tiny rubber clothes but I was obsessed for so long! All my friends at school had one and we would always swap clothing!
Furbies
Okay so who DIDN’T have a furby? I had one and would bring it with my everywhere I went, and used to play a furby game on the computer too, I can only vaguely remember it though… I think it had something to do with a roller coaster? (if you remember this game PLEASE let me know so I can relive it!)
Due to the joy of having an older brother again, I only stopped hanging out with my furby when he informed me that it watched me sleep and was plotting to kill me!
Little Weirdos!
Okay so this came to me last minute but I remember playing with them for YEARS as a kid. I'm not sure if little weirdos were the exact ones that I played with but they were very similar due to the fact they were little colourful monster figurines! If you remember other names for them let me know!
Thank you for taking the time to read my blog, what were your favourite toys as a kid? I've missed out quite a few because there is WAY too many, and most I have forgotten the name of now!
Also thank you to everyone who has shared love on my set Noir , it means the absolute world to me as I'm super proud of this set that @kyla shot of me while I was in Melbourne last year!
All my love
Akiramai
