Hi lovelies!
There are so many books/movies/etc that I could write about that have impacted my life in different ways, (mostly documentaries i.e. blackfish and cowspiracy) but the one in particular that i’d like to talk about is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky.
The reason I’ve chosen to write about this book is because it was one of the first books that I had read at a young age that really connected with me at the time. There’s a lot of mixed reviews on the book, but it really resonated with me because it made me feel like I wasn’t alone when experiencing so many different emotions - happiness, sadness, anger, depression, anxiety, excitement etc.
While in my early teens I always felt like an introvert pressured to be an extrovert, so the character Charlie in the book helped me in not feeling like an alien amongst my friends.
Although I highly recommend NOT to watch the movie, the book is a good read.
Some of my favourite quotes <3
“So, this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that could be.”
“So, I guess we are who we are for alot of reasons. And maybe we'll never know most of them. But even if we don't have the power to choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. We can still do things. And we can try to feel okay about them.”
“I don’t know if you’ve ever felt like that. That you wanted to sleep for a thousand years. Or just not exist. Or just not be aware that you do exist. Or something like that. I think wanting that is very morbid, but I want it when I get like this. That’s why I’m trying not to think. I just want it all to stop spinning.”
Thank you @missy and @rambo ! <3

I just finished the book and I really liked it but I wouldn't say that I like it more than the movie. I like it about the same as the movie, it was very good though

Wow I'm really impressed @rode0joe ! Maybe if I watched the movie first it would have been easier for me x
