Um, ok. Neither the internet nor the phone have been shut down. What the hell? I mean, not that i'm complaining. I mean, i am just used to Qwest bleeding me for all i am worth. It is so weird! Although i guess it isn't like it really costs them that much so i suppose it is easy enough for one little phone line to go unnoticed. Hoorrah! On the other hand it just makes me nervous. Is this something they will charge me for later? Will it shut off while i am in the middle of responding to someone's post or someone's email, never to finish sending my reply?
Oh well, for now i can still read the news and look at boobies on the internet in MY OWN HOME!! Wheeee!!! Sorry i have been obsessing so much about this lately. Blahrg. It is all i have journaled about in the past few days, so now i will write about something else.
Last night the Katy came over and we went out for a drink, myself, her and Greg. I love that lady....she is a good friend, and even when i am mopey and antisocial when i snap out of it she still is a blast to hang out with and is never too mad about me not having seen her for a while. Some of my other friends have gotten pissed at me before for going through "me times," those times when either i need time alone to be whiny and sad, or i am busy, or whatever. So she is a great friend because whenever we pick things back up it still feels like we are good friends, not like i have to repair anything just due to elapsed time (not that most of my friends complain about stuff like this anyway, but a couple of my female friends do for some reason). Any way, although tired, i had fun with the Katy. Corvallis is nice when all the college students are gone. We went to McMenamins and there were only two people in there an hour before closing (not including the bartenders who looked very bored). Damn, Greg and i are such townies, the bartender carded Katy but was like "I know you two". D'oh. I don't go there that often i swear! Greg and Katy get along smashingly, because they are both gamer geeks and computer nerds. I actually enjoy listening to them blather about that stuff because i am starting to learn a little about computers from it. All in all we didn't talk about too much "important" stuff but it was realxing and fun. She walked home with us but Greg started playing computer games right off and i fell asleep on the couch while we were talking can we say lack of sleep, lots of food, and large bloody mary? So poor Katy went home, and i staggered....uh....staggeringly up to bed. That was last night!
I have to go to the busiest sale day of the year at work in a few hours. I don't see any reason why it would be wrong to just have chocolate and sparkling wine for breakfast before i go off to work, do you?
Last saturday was the most successful Craft Circle yet! Ten people showed up including about three or four new faces. It was a good time, postiviely bustling with conversation and creative activity. I have almost finished my brother's James Bond themed Christmas present....it is a polar fleece scarf with applique and embroidery on it, one side has martini olives with a skewer through them, and the other side says "shaken not stirred". I hope it is not too dorky for him, since i like dorky things. Also a few other awesome things are happening due to the craft circle....we are going to have a movie night and "green fairy" party. The guy who is hosting it has no firniature other than his bed though so it is a BYOC party (bring your own chair). Also, i found someone who likes one of my long lost favorite bands, Idiot Flesh......all lmy CDs of theirs were stolen a long time ago, and i finally have someone who likes them and will let me copy their CDs! Rawesome!
I love craft circle.
My friend TrustPixelLust's nursey grilfriend should be coming on the 30th. He is happy. She is awesome. Also his sister is coming to visit with her fiancee, one of the creators of Red Versus Blue. Perhaps i will be making excursions out there to hang out with all them.
Other than all that randomness.....yep still poor, still working on trying to finish Christmas presents in time, etc. I am doing okay.
How are you?
