Feeling much better today! Whee
I asked Gr3g if he ever planned on writing journals in here, and he said no. He comments on Plastic a lot, so i guess he doesn't want to spread himself too thin. So i guess this journal is pretty much MINE, ALL MINE!!! Yes, my pretties.
Greg's friends from Germany have been traveling around the united states this month. We met them in Portland to sort of show them the sights, but we were late and so were they, so a lot of the cool stores and stuff that they would have liked to have seen were closed. So we drove around town a bit, then went to Dots and then the Pied Cow for desserts.....drool. Yeah, i'm not feeling nauseous any more! Such a ! The girl was an exchange student to Gr3g's highschool, so he knew her, but not the boyfriend very well, but they were both very cool and funny. I had taken German 1 like three years ago (and regrettably forgotten most of it since i never followed up on it) so they were trying to make me pronounce various difficult words and then laughing at me when i failed. Silliness. So, if George Bush gets re-elected (or even if not) we have open invitations to go live with them in Germany. Heck, except for gasoline a lot of stuff sounds less expensive than here. Like if you become a citezen, school is only a miniscule fraction of the jacked-up prices they have here. Also they have health care for all their citizens as well. Like gr3g was trying to explain that he doesn't have health care, because it is too expensive for him right now since it is not offered through work, and his friend was like "well what happens if you have to go to the hospital for something serious?" "Uh, you pretty much end up owing money for a really long time, or the rest of your life if you have to stay for a long time." "Oh thats horrible"......amen sister.
I consider myself a fairly liberal and open minded person. But that doesn't mean i don't get mad at some of the people that i am around from day to day who occupy the "political extremes". Here is a SHIRT that I want that would probably piss off both sides. Yay, i love it!
I need new music. I love what i have, but i need to actively seek new stuff again. And i need a new CD player because it is starting to refuse to play everything except the newest, completely unscratched discs. All these semi-scuffed CDs play fine on my walkman, on Gr3g's car stereo, and at my parents house. I don't want to plop down a couple of hunderd dollars. But i miss my music and i tend to go a little wacky if i can't listen to it frequently enough.
Concerts i want to go to:
the Magnetic Fields
the Faint
That's all for now.....have to go to work. Tomorrow i get another day off! Woohoo! More maybe then.
