I feel exhausted. For the last couple of months I've had a simultaneous battle between the stress of running out of work (and therefore money) over the holiday period, and the delight at the thought of having some actual time off with nothing to do. In an odd turn of events I actually secured two more web sites this week. One will be a simple Wordpress site, but the other is a custom photo sharing gallery suited to both desktop users and mobile users alike. The best part about that is that it came through another web developer in a different state. If we work well on this project together there's hope for further collaborations in the future. That sounds awesome. It's a great way to stay fresh when you can share your talents with like minded people. That isn't always easy when you work for yourself like I do.
Took the kids into the city today to see Santa and get our family portraits done. The crowds were insane. What's with people who have no idea about personal space? Ugh. I kept telling myself, "It's only one day." The kids had a blast, and I had a blast watching them. We escaped relatively unscathed
I got some work done this afternoon, and a little down time with my eldest boy. That was pretty cool. I'm taking another short break now to do a long overdue update, then I'm heading out to the grill to get my side of the dinner preparation under way
Not much else to report. My mum is visiting for the next three weeks. She's been having a great time with the grand kids, but I can see they're really taking a toll on her. I swear they could exhaust professional athletes
I've plenty more to say, but as usual, this is edging its way toward "tl;dnr" so I'll just sign off and leave myself enough time to come back later and catch up on what everyone else here is doing![smile](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/smile.0d0a8d99a741.gif)
