Today has been great. Got lots of work done, and I just received a call from the cattle stud clients - They're wrapped with the site proposal. They think it's fantastic. What's even better is that she is gripped by Laryngitis and can hardly speak, and yet she still felt the need to call and tell me personally. I like validation ![smile](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/smile.0d0a8d99a741.gif)
The eldest boy had a great day too. One of his teachers made a point of telling my wife that our boy (he's 4) is the politest child she's come across in years. More validation
I'll give him that. For all the whacky shit he gets up to that make me pull my hair out, he's grasped the concept of good manners and does his best to use them.
I heard a mother last week telling another mother that her child will never say "please." No child of hers will beg. Beg? BEG! WTF, lady? It's a courtesy, for fucks sake. I get so pissed off by all the levels of political correctness that are being thrown around these days, right along with this self-righteous existence crap as well. People want respect. It helps to be able to show respect in order to get some back as well. Being courteous, and polite, is a good step towards achieving the giving part. Teach your kids to say please, and thank you. It costs nothing to say those words, and the reward for meaning them is ultimately larger. Our society is headed down a terrible path for the generations to come. For now though, I'll make no excuses for having good manners.
Well that got a little side tracked![tongue](https://dz3ixmv6nok8z.cloudfront.net/static/img/emoticons/tongue.55c59c6cdad7.gif)
