So a shitty Monday indeed. I get to work to find that we are having our hours cut--> effective immediately. We have always worked 50 hour work weeks- that translates to 10 hours of OT a week. ALL of our OT has been cut. So that means an insane pay cut for all of the hourly people in my department. We are not sure if the other hourly people will be affected, which will blow if they don't because we all essentially do the same job.
I did not need this kind of issue right now. I am trying to save money to move, get my car ready for a cross country drive and I need some dental work done which is not covered by my lousy dental "benefits". I know it could be worse, they could be laying people off. But they could have given us a little notice so we could prepare. HR is giving us some BS about an OT policy that must now be enforced, even though the hiring managers outright tell us that we are expected to work 50 hours.
