Wow-
A minute to breathe.
It has been a crazy rollercoaster ride of life for the past little bit.
I will work my way backwards...
Today- first day doing the new job. Liking it so far, although there is a lot of ground to be covered.
Last weekend- Whew. Best friend in from VA. Got to visit the old bartenders who always make the best drinks. The wedding was amazing. My friend was stunning. Yes, the ex factor. He stayed with me for the weekend. It was a typical meeting for us. First- reminiscing about old times. Second- getting nostalgic at Dave Matthews playing in the background. And when all was said and done, it was easy to say farwell. I miss him and all, but we have grown in such different ways. The experiences we shared so long ago remind me (as stated in prior blogs) of what I want from someone I am involved with. It was a nice refresher.
The week prior in cold ass New Jersey.... I was there for training and the best thing about it was that I got to come home. JK, it wasn't that bad. What was funny was almost getting clobbered by the gas station attendant for getting out of the car to pump my gas- yea NJ state law says that you can't. You don't have to tip them though, as you would here for full service.
The weeks prior to that- spent reexamining the recent past 'relationship'. God help the woman who's stuck with him now. He has a lot of growing up to do and I hope he's trying to be honest with her. Sad thing is, I almost feel like I should warn her about the type of person he really is. But then I figure- she is a big girl and it is not my place to run interference. But she probably wouldn't believe me anyway (at least not til she realizes that he is not the person who he claims to be). The universe has a way of working things out though...
Fast forward to present-
I am happy and anxious for a much needed girl's trip to Vegas next month. Other than that, I am just enjoying the journey I have been on..... life is a gift and everyday we wake with new chances to run with it.
Hope you are well in SG Land.
