I spent last night getting warmed up for New Years. I went up the Lodge in Mt. Baldy, drank way too much wine and a few shots. I got sick.

I also did something I am not really fond of------ KARAOKE!!! I love to sing. But that doesn't mean I am good outside of my car or the shower. And paired with drunkenness and other tone- deaf and drunk people- it is just wrong. Thankfully no one booed. I think their hearing was already damaged from previous performances.

There was one guy those who did one HELL of an Axl Rose impression. The best of the night by far.

I then had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn to get back home and put out presents from Santa (we do Xmas Eve here). My youngest nieces who are 4 and 6 didn't believe in Santa. So, naturally we (my oldest bro and I) had to make them believe again. They are too young to be disillusioned from St. Nick.

I did that and slept for 6 hours. My oldest niece who is 16 came over and we opened presents and then had a good old fashioned Christmas Dinner- Chinese Food.

I still feel a bit icky, but oh well.

Now I am ready for New Years Eve. I don't think I will have any shots. I think sticking to my yummy Shiraz is the best bet.
