Now why does fate have to always work in such shitty and mysterious ways?
It turns out that the girl that I have had the biggest crush on (she knows who she is) is off to a foreign country within the week. Now this wouldn't seem like such a tragedy, but (and this is a big ol' BUT) she just recentlly told me that she liked me as well. Groan!!! Why fate why?
It's a long story involving a year plus infatuation with one of the most beautiful girls I have ever had the privilege to cross paths with. I had seen her around my neighborhood over a lengthy period of time. But anyone who knows me knows that I can be the shyest guy when it comes to girls that I am interested in. Not only that but I am probably a bumbling fool as well. So I could never muster up enough courage to ever ask her out. What an idiot I am!!
Finally this big dummy summons some small amount of courage and begins writing the girls of his dreams. After some small and sweet conversations, she finally confesses her secret, and my heart melts. Me being the hopeless romantic that I am, and the first one to place his heart on his sleeve can't help but to confess as well.
Now all the cards are on the table. I know how she feel, she knows how I feel, and then the other shoe drops. She's leaving at the end of the month, to travel thousands of miles away. Fate stabs me in the back once again.
We have yet to meet for real in person. Asking me how my day is at the check out counter doesn't really count does it? But fingers crossed everyone and maybe her and I can get to know each other a little better before she is whisked away on a jet plane.
