Sad update...
I just learned my stepfather died (no 2 of 4)... his years of overeating drinking and doing recreational drugs finally caught up with him. Not even 55. So very sad.
While he was a real ass to me sometimes, he always tried to be a good dad. A little heavy with the sermons, and with his hands, but we were loved.
I will never forget his good qualities, his community spirit, his love for my mom. His strength was unmatched, his physical strength at lifting heavy objects, nor his unwavering belief in what he thought was right.
Rest In Peace Pop, your success will be measured by the lives we lead.

so sorry to hear, my own pops passed away 6 months ago from pretty much the same stuff, 59 years old.
