Hey...,
So I rarely have nething intersting to say [not that this is exactly exciting >.<] So i stock shelves at a grocery store, pretty lame i know, and i absolutely hate my job. The only comfort, the only thing that has made my jobe bearable is the fact that i've been allowed to bring in my Zune and listen to my own music. Slaveways coporate bullshet music they play is seriously enuff to make me lose my mind. I cant stand the repetitive 1 hit wonder pop crap the play, seriously it makes me very irratated and want to break stuff o.o NEWAY, like any other night im pulling pallets around and working the load off em, when i go to get a fresh razor blade i come back to my power jack and find a little note. The note is simply stated and clear, as of tonight no more headphones w/ the names of the assistant and store manager at the bottom [funny since the store manger is on vacation =.= ] For w/e reason my boss thot it would be funny for me to find out by just leaving the not there for me to see. I didnt think so.
She watched me walk to it and was laughing at the other side of the store. I just looked at her and said "well, thats not gonna happen." to which she replied "yes it will." Now despite our fights my boss and I are very close. I walked over to her, and needless to say i was pretty livid. Im not quite sure wot i said i was pretty pissed, but i gave her my 2 weeks notice, which i was half bluffing. Her not picking a good time to be a smart ass called my bluff and told me just to go. Really angry now i forcefully reiterated the statment.
A little back story to the situation. I have worked for safeway for the last 4 years. Im not one to speak highly of myself [honestly if anything im the opposite] I'm the best worker on that whole crew, the only reason we stay afloat is because of all the time and effort i put in. I stock as fast as 2 people. Even at that speed i do better quality work, and make few mistakes. While other people do half as much worse quality and many mistakes. I work 5-7 nights a week, rarely take breaks, never call in sick. Im nothing specail, since this isnt a difficult job. No brain power required, its just WORK. The rest of the crew really doesnt get that. I dont complain i just come in do my job and go home. Im not talkative for the most part save for my boss and our merchandiser. I get better reviews than the rest, and people have gotten jealous.
One person in particular has gotten really bad. Im not gonna say this out of animosity, but simple truth. He is the worst employee we have. He complains the most, stabs everyone in the back, has been told how things need to be done numerous times and still fails to do them correctly. Pretty much everyone to a person is tired of him. He makes my job harder since i constantly have to go back and fix mistakes he made previous nights. But, he is the biggest complainer and goes in complains to the assitant manager [who is new to the store] about how i spend all night talking and never work, and the fact that i listen to my music it interferes w/ my ability yp do my job. All of which are false.
So he got his review the other week and was pissed that it was so poor, i wasnt there, one of his biggest points was that those of of us that listen to headphones [mainly me] are doining poor work and that should stop. Tho he brings his stereo in and blares it on the over head to same crap night after night spending a good portion of his shift walking back and forth to his cd player. Other people in other departments have complained to him to stop, but he wont, and the effort to force him to is wasted since the rest of us actually work around there. That all being said funny coincidence that we get this note right after the store manager goes on vacation, and days after he complains to my boss about it.
So I'm beside myself in anger that the the assistant has taken the side of this piss poor worker, over me. Im so tired of having to bust my ass harder than everyone else night after night, and have managment take the side of the biggest complainer we have, simply because i have better things to do that come into the store on my personal time and bitch to the manager.
So i guess now ill be unemployeed. Blah, i wanted to go back to skool neway. I'll just spend the vacation time they owe me to look for a job for the summer before i go back to skool hopefully in the fall.
LOL, Im sorry to anyone that actually took the time to read all that. I didnt go back thro it so i dont know if it even makes any sense. Im just so angry right now i cant think straight. Okay some music...

My cat for the most part is pretty tolerant. Even when he wasn't doing his best, health-wise, he was still just very affectionate. He doing a lot better now though.
