This weekend I have been the Wicked Witch to my kid. She's 5 and has (or had) so much junk in her room it was impossible to keep it cleaned up or straightened out. So I spent about 3 hours throwing away everything I could including the futon bed she never sleeps in.
She hated me for a good hour then fell asleep crying about all the stuff I was throwing out. When she woke up from her extended nap(About 2 1/2 hrs), and saw how clean and neat her room was she didn't seem to hate me so much. Today she's actually spending time in her room playing instead of avoiding her room.
Her room is so much more open and not so crowded now. The only thing left that really need to go is the old computer desk I converted into a TV gaming table for her a year and a half ago. She really needs something smaller. But I'll leave that for next weekend.
In other news I have some friends coming to visit next weekend. I'm planning to get some photos. If they turn out well I'll show them off here for you guys. I'll tell you all about the theme after there uploaded.
