Our memories flicker on cinema screens,

Thoughts of endless laughter, and reels of hopeful dreams,

I can't help but wonder what was right, or what went wrong,

Our emotions seemed to scream out like the words of certain songs,

And now we walk with candles, soul searching in the dark

I know that at one point in time, you truly knew my heart

Moving pictures fade to black and white, what have we become

Music looses meaning, the motion picture soundtrack remains unsung,

We hold these moments dear, from the bitter ending back to the start,

Waiting for the final credits to roll is by far the hardest part,

Watching in silence and appreciation, confused and deep in thought

This tattered movie ticket is the best I've ever bought
