Working on my portfolio.
I'm going through my photography. Trying to single out my best work, not just what I like and think looks good. Some of it is from a local tattoo expo I do photography for. Unfortunately, however, I have a couple issues... Many of the photos are watermarked and ready to upload, except for one problem with the watermark. It includes my full name, which I don't think it'd be the best idea to advertise. Also, sadly, the lighting at the expo was generally very very bad and difficult to work with/around, and I don't want that to reflect badly on my work. It's been a little while since I went through these photos, so I'll have to go through them all again and see what is usable.
I know I have better work, but... Right now I'm in San Gabriel, and I don't have access to much more of my photography because my external hard drive is at home.
Honestly, what I need to do is shoot more pictures. My portfolio is in dire need of more recent work, because I have gotten so much better than even the tattoo expo photos would make one think.
I also need to think of a name for my portfolio. I'd use my name, but I feel iffy about that. I have options, but they have to be multipurpose/workable and I'm not sure how to make them sound that way. I want to be available for photography AND styling (for lack of a better term?!) situations. I can do hair, makeup, nails, and more, and I want to be able to include that. (Whether or not the styling is done in conjunction with a photoshoot, for an event, or something else.)
Ah well. I could go on and on. I need to make more posts, because I have other things I need to say as well.
For now, I'm going to go make some zucchini... yum.
