god i love living downtown. when we lived here before, i was so close to everything, i didn't realize how much of that would change once we weren't in the heart of things. now, i'm close to the library again; i can walk to work! one day, i really do want a place of my own, but i'm not complaining now.
my mom's philosophy is that she never got help during school when she was my age, so as long as i'm a hard-working, productive student she'll support me. sometimes (when we realize we're almost too much alike for our own good!) we get under each other's skin, but i really couldn't be luckier to have her. and the little bro-ski. most kids his age don't have a relationship with siblings who are so much older. i'm happy to pay my rent by making breakfast, packing lunch, and driving him to school in the mornings. at least we get to chill.
the fabulous CandyCrimson and i have been tossing the idea back and forth to do a set together pretty soon! i'm bananas for the idea of a new set (especially working with such a talent!), but like every other SG who doesn't grace the front page on a regular basis, i'm starting to get jaded about sending in sets to MR and Staff when i know there's a pretty big chance that it won't get bought or go live. i know, i know. EVERYONE has been complaining, and i've been the first to click out of discussion boards that serve no purpose but to bash the selection process, staff, and the whole system. i know this is a business as well as community, and who's who of SG has been trying really hard to give everyone a fair shot. it's just really difficult to justify the whole thing in my head- i have more than 200 people telling me my set is beautiful or that it should be on the front page, but 200 is nothing compared to 600 or 1000 comments, and its not enough. bah.

And I'm confused how you have two sets in MR, but your header is Pink and you have the Suicidegirl button thing instead of Hopeful. Has it always been that way or did something just get accepted?
