ugh. i'm behind on pretty much everything and i'm just so thankful i have a few free nights this week to sort it all out...although i will miss the few days i can't fall asleep with the wifey
heck, we might as well be married- we're such goofs around each other. 7 months strong this friday, and counting! laugh at my smitten-ness if you want, but i'm happy- and that's more than can be said for a lot of people in this world.
speaking of unhappiness in the world, you know what makes me sad? besides starving children, animal abuse, war, and civil injustice in general? there is a rumored 8 YEAR waiting list to get into canada. so if mccain and palin get elected, one or both of them is likely to get re-elected. and then we're still stuck here! that is if we decide not to go to europe. zoinks, scoob.
i know we're all a little worn out about talks of the upcoming election (at least i am, a bit) but i really do think this is one of the most pivotal ones. i will be the first to admit that i'm not as educated as i'd like to be about obama's policies and stances. but what i do know is that sarah palin scares the living bajesus out of me. as a woman and as the possible (75% chance that mccain crokes before term 1 is over) future leader of our country, i really don't understand her. i really don't understand any woman who believes that pro-life should be enforced. i really don't understand anyone who would make a rape victim pay for their own crime scene kit. i really don't understand anyone who believes dinosaurs existed only 4,000 years ago. these are my opinions, and they might offend you or put you off, but quite frankly, i think that regardless of opinion, these are points that should be verified for voters. i'm not 100% sure that the points i've made are fact, but i think that should be publicly determined if it hasn't already. the only thing i'll defend sarah palin in is the media's exploitation of her daughter, bristol. i have no problem with the fact that bristol is an expecting mom at age 17. i really wish people wouldn't use this as a weapon against sarah palin simply because i think teen moms should be commended for their bravery and their strength. it takes a lot to say yeah, i want to keep it. it takes a lot to say no, too. but what her daughter decides to do is not something i think about as a voter and as a citizen. its just something juicy on the cover of a tabloid i happen upon in line at the grocery store.
sorry, i just had to rant. its hard to be feminist these days, ladies. there's so many conflicting definitions of the word feminist, really. what i do know, is that us pink ladies, and prospective hopefuls alike are true feminists. don't let anyone put you down cos your naked on the internet. feel liberated that you celebrate the beauty of the female body, and the holes and ink that she puts in/on it!
jesus, why am i so thomas paine-y lately?!

8 years? I had no idea we were so damn picky, considering there's not that many of us, and a whoooole lotta space

Haha. I'm pretty sure every Dallas fan hates us right now. But I wouldn't have it any other way.
That was a freakin crazy game though. Plays I'd never even seen happen before. It was great.
