So I went to the bar with friends a couple of days of ago...
Has anybody else noticed how stupid people look when trying to engage in the mating process? I mean seriously, most people look wounded buffalo, asking the hunter to put them out of their miserary.
Guys asking to girls to buy them drinks, asking the bartender while trying to flex at the same time...
and then there's the dance floor. Have you actually stepped back and noticed that most people don't actually dance with the music at all. It's not even interpretive dance. It's a bunch of people, shaking various body parts in prearranged motions that have been practiced over and over in front of a mirror.
On guy, dressed head to toe in gear that proudly announced he was part of the FUBU clan, came up to my friend and said to her, "Damn girl, I nearly stepped on that ass!" And then stood around waiting for her to be happy about the comment.
HOW IS THAT A COMPLIMENT!!!!!
From a sociological standpoint, club and such are amazing, you could write a book about them.
From a young person who is not indoctrinated by consumer culture, they leave me with a vague sickly feeling in my stomach.
On a more positive note, My girlie comes back in 5 days! Yipeeeee
