Little advert for one of my employers...

I work at this shop called the Pearl Wine Shop, in the Pearl District, here in PDX. 13th and Glisan, under Andina Restaurant.

This place is nuts, as it is the store front to a national rare wine locating service. So while the store sells wine, the real business is the internet rare wine thing. So they don't expect the store to make money hand over fist, yeah?

So here's what we do; We have 21 bottles of wine from all over the world that you will not likely ever see again, as we've imported them directly in many cases. Each of these wines are available for tasting (that means a good little pour in a Reidel Crystal glass) at any time, from 11:30 until 9:00, everyday.

There are 7 wines $10 and under, 7 $20 and under, and 7 with no limit on price... usually topping around $70.

They are mostly really gorgeous wines.

So all in all, you get as much great wine as you can handle... for nothing.

Come after 4:00 and there's even a cheese and ham (expensive Serrano ham) plate. Yum.

Yesterday, I had this boring day where about 3 people came in all day, so this is something I am doing about it.
