I have always loved photography. My parents were taking a lot of pictures when I was growing up. Not that EVERYTHING would gotten photographed. Every moment and everything that caught the eye. No
And my father had a huge amount of books about photography, and just picturebooks. Thick as hell. I usually just make a collage of pictures I have. I have been photographing from early teen years. this era of digital camera came sneaking up on me... I didn't get in as soon as it should have been done, but now I have a great digital camera and few lenses.
Now I am again using as much I used to. It's just better to have it with me everywhere. I have studied photography and lighting few different times but I have never even considered it as means to support myself. It has always been something I have passion to. .... Pictures are to me captions of moments. In a way the means to travel in time. You see a picture of yourself doing something somewhere ten years ago you tend to remember and think back on that moment and things connected to it. You go into that moment and the time around it. It is no longer just your mind being distracted about everywhere by thoughts of past and future. By meditating we focus our thoughts and mind to the present. But just to get a mindtravel to a specific time period in the past makes photography the visual art form I love the most. And I am still seeking the best picture. I am trying to take the best picture there is. But until then I am obligated to take pictures to my collection of moments to travel to. I have taken photos in studios almost never.
I want to mention again about a great photographer in Odessa. http://natalyphotoart.com/#/Art/IMG_5498.jpg
Her captions are simply amazing http://natalyphotoart.com/#/Art/IMG_5653.jpg http://natalyphotoart.com/#/Art/IMG_5827.jpg Her photographs show the dedication put into taking each photograph. She has great eye to capture moments, people sights, visions and memories. Outside, inside, in the studio. Extremely talented and devoted. And Odessa has many beautiful spots to make a photoset. Might even be a reason to have a holiday in Odessa. Spend a week and one day have a photoshoot.
