hmm, okay. i'm a finger picker, but i guess a pick is necessary for cleanliness. i'll likely start looking into a fender. gibson is a little heavy for me :( i'll post some progress videos when i get my hands on one, pointers are appreciated :)

@konoha Think outside the box.  Definitely try out a bunch in the store first if weight's an issue. If you go the Fender route, bear in mind they're great for modding. You can buy a cheap(er) model, and just swap out the hardware--which is all screwed into the pickguard on the front--with what you want. It can be as easy as taking out a few screws. Some artist signature pickguards will come prebuilt, ready to go, and if you want to customize your layout further, you choose the pickups yourself--and there's a lot of sweet shit to think about there. :)
