I just got home from Isis. The show was pretty amazing, and so has been the majority of the 27 hours that have passed since I left it. Its strange being somewhere I dont know where is without my car, but it was oddly comforting this time.
Jesu opened the show, and as I watched them play I completely expected that Isis would not be as good. Their set was amazing and I intend to pick up some of their stuff. But then Isis played and I was blown away. They were far better than either of the other two times I saw them, and their sound was perfect. I got to mosh with four or five guys for the duration and other than two little skirmishes with security that almost got me thrown out or one of them severely wounded, the venue was great. It makes me wish I would not have missed Pelican when they were here earlier this month, I have really taken to this style of music.
After the show I decided not to leave with mike who drove me and instead drove a drunk friend home to make sure she was safe. In the process I have had some really stimulating conversation, spent two hours walking around Taylor having a hard time remembering which house I was returning to, and read half of Hunter S. Thompson's Kingdom of Fear. I will try to pound out a few more pages before I crash, I love this book.
Good night for now, love ya all.

The Rev was here in GR on Wednesday. It was an awesome show! He played for over 2 hours, took requests and interacted with the audience quite a bit. A+
