Derailed Circus of Oblivion
Act 1
I woke up about 11, well I got up about 11 anyway, and had a few drinks while waiting for tongue_boy to pick me up for the game. He arrived and we discussed running to the store, buying more liquor, grabbing lunch and then heading downtown. In the mean time I had a few more drinks.
We made the booze run, mixed up some discreet bottles (needless, we could have walked around downtown drinking whiskey out of a bottle and no one would have cared) grabbed some fast food and headed down. I had a few more drinks, and somehow we made it to the city.
The whole way I made mike listen to Hank Williams Jr and III. Hah. He was vastly irritated waiting to park, but I was too intoxicated to share his concern. I just smiled and had another drink. We finally get parked, he decides he needs to catch up, which is nigh impossible, my Southern Comfort being 100 proof and his Captain being piss in a bottle, and my strong lead, well we went drink for drink then headed into the streets.
A friend of mine was working the door at the State Theater for whatever they had going on, so we hung out there, ordered a few drinks and enjoyed moving through the crowd while people continually commented on my tophat. I know that there was some wandering in and out, and that at some point we came back to this venue, but I am pretty sure it was after we went back to the truck and had some more to drink. At this time we ran into braddn and he tried to get my ticket since I am not a sports fan, even offering to leave me drinking with his co-workers. No deal.
We finally headed in for the game about 730.
Act 2
We get in the stadium, and I hear a familiar voice call out. I turn around, and there stands my store manager. Nothing like being drunk out of your skull and seeing your boss. We talked briefly and it was really funny at the time, we will see if it remains so next week. We then wandered off and waited for the game to begin.
I enjoyed watching the game, was glad I had my hoodie, and realized that I was the only one in the stadium without any sports related clothing on. My lack of real concern for who won made the game seem that much better, as I was not overly dissapointed. I used to watch baseball as a kid, and I am a big fan of pitchers, and there was alot of good pitching going on at points. By the end of the game I had forgotten most of it, but the thing I noticed more than anything else was the complete lack of enthusiasm from the crowd. Seemed kind of strange.
We left the game to head back to the truck, where I revived the theme of my day and started drinking again.
Act 3
City Club.
I saw a handful of people I know, alot of whom I have not seen in a long while. I saw a girl that I sometimes crush on, and she was out with this guy, annoyed to bump into me under the pretenses, and still flirty when able. I enjoyed this interchange, it was quite a wonderful feeling mixed with my drunkenness.
I remember we left the club kind of early and then I fell asleep in the truck. I woke up and we went in and got food at the Rams Horn by my apartment, a fairly regular late night activity. Our usual waitress was there, and her and mike seemed to be having a conversation at my expense. I am not exactly sure what transpired, but by the end of the night I was still happy and starting to finally sober up.
I came home, showered, and sat down and typed. Now its off to bed.
Love ya all
Agent.
