Another exciting day, my mom came up to meet me and her stock broker for lunch and she ended up commiting me to giving her stock broker $1,000 of my money to put into a 1 year CD. Yay, I get to have my money tied up for a year in a CD (earning 6% interest), so that I can make $60 in a years time. Sounds like a winning plan, espically when I can earn more with that $1,000 buying and selling records on ebay.
My mom says that it's a good investment, and that I'll learn something by "investing" my money. It's not even really an investment, it's just like a high interest earning savings account where you can't touch you money for a year or a certain amount of time. Considering my normal saving earns 2.6% a year interest and this will earn 6%, it doesn't sounds all that great. I rather just use my money the way that I see fit, but whatever...
On another side note, why does someone in my apartment building cook fish every night. I swear that my apartment halls always smell like smoke and really badly cooked fish. I can't wait until May 10th comes and I get to move out of my apartment.
Sorry about the rants, and really had a good day other than those two things. Still didn't have anyone up here in Boulder to do anything with, but I went out to the mall and Bart's CD Cellar and saw Jon for a sec. Oh well, I am going home tomorrow anyway, so I guess it's a moot point.

i have $100 in savings right now and only because it's a minimum balance. once the car's paid off in september it'll be like an extra $250 a month. my dad offered to "save" it for me...but i'm responsible! i swear!
