Charlie and the Chocolate Factory barely met expectations and certainly did not exceed them. I dug the oompa loompa songs but I could barely hear the words, and I didn't know what to make of Depp's Willy Wonka. There was just something about that movie that didn't seem quite right. There were a few parts that cracked me right the hell up, though.
A few more things about visiting Jason before I finally retire the topic. such as, that it was exactly what I needed. a little fraternal love. My legs ached from walking and my face hurt from laughing, talking, and smiling. This was what I needed. I need more guy friends. My parents saw my ex-bestfriend Brian at the mall; my parents said he looked pretty clean (he had problems) and he's been calling and asking if I want to do anything. It'd be nice to reconnect with him and see what he's been up to. Too bad his favorite thing in the world, cars and mechanics, doesn't interest me even a little, though.
Being in Chicago, a place that seemed friendlier than Minneapolis and home to so many different people, filled me with a certain kind of peace. To use a cliche, I thought about disappearing to somewhere where nobody knew me and existing only as another face in the crowd. You meet and see interesting people everyday, but the only drawback would be that you'd probably never see those people again. but I dunno. The possibilities and opportunities seemed Endless while I was visiting Jason.
Tomorrow, after roughly six hours of class, I (and possibly Hannah) am going over to Whitney's house to have some dinner and then we'll drive Hannah to the Artists' Quarter. Whitney's the Queen of breaking plans, but I think that will probably be difficult if we're in the same class.
Now it's time for me to get naked and start the revolution. I mean . . . post some pictures.
