It will only be a few months before Im making considerably larger paychecks, and since I know with my recent driving my van wont hold out on me much longer without major repairs, I have begun looking for a new car.
Idealy, I want a celica. I prefer the models from 1998 and earlier. I dont like the newer headlights on them. Problem is, if Im going to make payments on a vehicle, there's no way in hell its already going to have 80k+ miles on it. But, celica's ARE my favorite vehicle. If I had one that was well kept with the previous owner and had low mileage, I would have an orgasm - right there on the spot.
But like I said, it will be hard to find a low mileage celica thats older. Im open to looking at other vehicles, but I think almost all cars look like crap, and I do want a car. Something rather small, automatic, good gas mileage, etc. I dont want a geo or a probe or some other cheap car. I dont know. I guess Im looking for suggestions. Pictures too!
Outside of that, I started my first day in the grooming dpt. today. Basically just sat on a wooden stool in the corner of the room reading a HUGE book and doing exersizes. After that I had to take a safety certification test. I ended up finishing within my 8 hour shift, thank god. There seems to also be a lot of drama in this department, which I knew. The drama today ended with the grooming manager (whom I like and respect) putting in her 2 weeks notice. And rightfully so, Petsmart is fucked up, and today we were all surprised at how low they were willing to sink.
For example, in the past week or so we have had one groomer up and quit, and yesterday another one was fired. Today the grooming manager had a conference call with the district manager in which he told her, "You dropped the ball, its your job to keep the salon fully staffed. I am going to email you a list of all the mom and pop pet stores within a 10 mile radius and by monday you have to go to each one and tell them about us. Make sure to let them know we offer insurance and 401k and I gaurantee you will get a callback. No, we're not recruiting their employees, we're informing them."
That is what made her leave. And I completely agree, thats bullshit. How fucked up is it that Petsmart has all of these stores in their computer systems? We're the walmart of pet care, and it sickens me.

And your rule about using English when people IM you on AIM is beautiful. Thank you for taking a stand. I hate it when people write things in a code that you have to decipher. People should just type in fucking English, it's not that difficult!
Have you looked at ebay? Or what about used lots in your area?
I've bought used cars before...you really have to check them out. I go new now (but actually, since I live in the city...I'm selling my car....so, if you want a 2001 Mustang GT we can talk! )
^^ lol at a celica being 'higher end' than a Ford
